FAQs

Common Questions About Getting in Touch

We know reaching out can feel like a big step. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most often.

I'm not sure if my child is right for the academy. Should I still get in touch?

Absolutely. If you're unsure, the best thing you can do is reach out and have a conversation. We'll ask a few straightforward questions and give you an honest answer about whether we think we can help. We never turn people away without a proper conversation first.

How quickly will you get back to me?

We aim to respond to all enquiries as soon as possible, usually within 1-3 days time.

What should I include in my email or contact form?

Just tell us a bit about your child. Their age, their current situation and what's brought you to us. There's no set format and no wrong answer. The more you can share, the better placed we'll be to give you a helpful response, but even a few sentences is enough to get the conversation started.

What happens after I get in touch?

We'll respond as soon as possible to acknowledge your enquiry and gather a little more information if needed. From there, we'll arrange a phone call or site visit at a time that suits you. The process is deliberately relaxed and informal. There's no pressure and no commitment required at any stage.

Who should I contact to make a referral or begin a consultation?

All referrals and consultations should be directed to Dan, who manages all admissions and local authority relationships. You can reach him by email or phone and he'll respond as soon as possible to discuss the learner and confirm whether we have availability.

What information do you need from us to begin the consultation process?

To get started, it helps to have a copy of the learner's EHCP and a brief overview of their current situation. We understand paperwork doesn't always tell the full story, so we'll always follow up with a conversation before making any decisions about suitability.

How quickly can a learner be placed once a consultation is agreed?

This depends on a number of factors including local authority approval, transport arrangements and current cohort availability. We'll always be upfront about timescales and will work with you to get the right learner into the right place as efficiently as possible.

Do you offer site visits for caseworkers?

Yes, and we actively encourage them. Seeing the academy in person is the best way to understand what we offer and feel confident recommending us to families. Get in touch and we'll arrange a visit at a time that works for you.
