For Young People Who've Been Let Down, We're the Place That Doesn't Give Up.
Shropshire Adventures Academy was born from over 30 years of working with young people in the outdoors. We're part of a wider family business that includes an award-winning riding centre and adventure centre, and that heritage shapes everything we do.
We're not a school. We're not a college. We're a specialist post-16 education centre for young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, particularly those who've experienced trauma. Young people who've been let down, excluded, written off, or who simply couldn't function in a mainstream setting, no matter how much support was put in place.
What makes us different isn't just what we offer. It's how we do it. With a small cohort of 8 to 10 learners, 30 acres of outdoor space, exceptional horses and a team who genuinely care, we create the conditions where recovery and learning can actually happen. Safety first. Confidence next. Everything else follows.

No two learners are the same, so no two programmes are the same. We tailor everything to the individual.

We stay small on purpose. With 8 to 10 learners, everyone is genuinely known. No one gets lost. No one gets overlooked.

Recovery isn't linear. Bad days happen. We come back the next morning with a fresh start, every single time.
