Our Partners

Working Together for Better Outcomes.

We don't work in isolation. Our partners share our values, strengthen our provision and help us deliver the best possible outcomes for every young person at the academy.

Who We Work With

Every partnership we have is built on shared values, mutual respect and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.

British Horse Society (BHS)

The BHS is the UK's largest equine charity and the governing body for horse riding and horse care qualifications. We deliver their Changing Lives Through Horses programme alongside a full range of BHS qualifications, from Stage 1 through to personal development and leadership awards, all within an award-winning riding centre environment.

EASP

Shropshire Adventures Academy is an approved Equine Assisted Services centre, delivering trauma‑informed wellbeing sessions led by trained EAS practitioners. Working alongside our horses, young people build trust, confidence and emotional regulation in a calm, outdoor environment. Our partnership ensures every session is ethical, purposeful and rooted in genuine care with horses playing a central role in helping students feel safe, grounded and ready to grow.

Adventure Consultancy

Shropshire Adventures works with Adventure Consultancy as our technical advisors, strengthening the safety and quality of our entire outdoor curriculum. With over 30 years of global experience, their team provides specialist guidance to major organisations including Netflix, Disney, National Geographic and Amazon Prime. Their expertise in risk management, expedition skills and outdoor training ensures every activity we deliver is safe, professional and built on world‑class industry standards.

ARC

We’re proud to be part of the Attachment Research Community (ARC), a national charity helping schools develop strong attachment‑ and trauma‑aware practice. Children make sense of themselves and the world through relationships. When trauma, neglect, separation or loss disrupt those early bonds, their sense of safety needs rebuilding before learning can happen. Being part of the ARC community keeps our approach evidence‑informed, reflective and connected to best practice across the country. It strengthens the way we support young people to feel safe, understood and ready to grow.

Paddle UK

We’re proud to be an official Paddle UK Delivery Partner, which means we’re recognised for providing safe, high‑quality paddlesport experiences on our lake and out on the water. This partnership allows us to deliver Paddle UK courses and teach paddlesport skills in a way that’s fun, confidence‑building and grounded in national best practice. Paddle UK champions safe, sustainable paddling for everyone, supporting providers who put the wellbeing of their customers, their team and the environment first. Being part of this community strengthens our commitment to offering brilliant, responsible outdoor experiences that young people can trust.

Rescue 3

At Shropshire Adventures Academy, we deliver Rescue 3 accredited training designed for real‑world environments. Our instructors teach practical, industry‑standard water safety and rescue skills, ensuring every course meets the rigorous standards set by Rescue 3 Europe. From first‑time learners to experienced professionals, our students train safely, confidently and to a recognised international benchmark.

Shrewsbury Town Foundation

We’re proud to partner with Shrewsbury Town Foundation to offer horse riding sessions as part of the All In programme. Each Sunday, six young people join us for a fully supported hour with our horses, learning new skills, building confidence and enjoying time outdoors. With riding, woodland treks and themed activities, it’s a welcoming space to grow, explore and make friends.

Partner FAQs.

Thinking about working with us? Here are the questions we hear most often from potential partners.

What kinds of organisations do you typically partner with?

We work with organisations that complement and strengthen what we offer our learners. That includes equine and outdoor education bodies, research and advocacy organisations, training providers, employers and community businesses. What matters most to us is shared values and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people, not the size or sector of the organisation.

What does a typical partnership look like?

Every partnership is different. Some partners deliver qualifications or training directly to our learners. Others provide work experience placements, research collaboration or specialist expertise that enriches our provision. We're open to exploring what a partnership could look like based on what you do and where there's a genuine fit.

How do you protect the well-being of learners during partnership activities?

The safety and wellbeing of our learners is our absolute priority in everything we do. Before any partnership activity takes place, we work closely with the partner organisation to ensure the environment, approach and expectations are appropriate for our learners. All staff and partners who work with our young people are expected to understand and respect our trauma-informed approach.
