Alternative
Provision
At Shropshire Adventures we also offer alternative provision to meet the needs of a wide range of pupils whether that is behavioural issues, school refusers, anxiety, learning difficulties and autism.

We want to inspire disengaged young individuals to reconnect with society through working with horses and within the outdoors. Our vision is to take small groups of learners , the ones that currently struggle to access mainstream provisions. These young people need to be treated as individuals with empathy, patience and creative coaching . We have been delivering this sort of education for 25 years to young people.
For the younger students we are hoping to increase resilience, gain confidence, respect for others, the ability to communicate more freely, work as a team, follow instructions and problem solve.
So many of the skills we coach are transferable to general everyday life.

Our approach to Alternative Provision at Shropshire Adventures Academy is a joined up approach- the student, the school and the family/carer. We work with all relevant parties to provide reports and updates regarding the students progress and success.
